New Outreach Opportunity

Jennifer reported on the special Church Council meeting Sunday afternoon:

The conversion of Susanna Wesley House back to a parsonage was approved.  The cost would be approximately $7,500.  A committee has been formed to study possibilities for the use of the Stony Point Campus.  One possibility is space for RV parking for temporary housing for people who lost their homes in the wildfire.  This would involve installing sewer, water and electrical hookups for up to 5 RV’s and the Hope City Shower trailer.

Many gift cards have been received.  Their distribution has not been determined.

The California-Nevada Conference has been very supportive.   It is hoped that we will receive some help from UMCOR.

Camp Noah, sponsored by Hope City is a camp for children who have been involved in a catastrophe.  Possibly the camp could come here next summer. The Camp was held last year in Lake County after their fires.

An immediate need is for people to move the staff offices out of the Susanna Wesley House so that remodeling for the parsonage can begin.
