What's Happening

First United Methodist Church

Outreach

We are collecting youth and easier to read books for Sonoma County inmates. Bring your donations of soft cover, non-violent, and non-gang related books to church on the first Sunday of the month and put them in the donation boxes (Montgomery in the office, and Stony Point in the worship center).  We will deliver them to the jail.

Halloween is coming.  Fair Trade chocolate minis are a nice treat to provide.  They are good for children and great for the Central American farmers.  We have them available in both dark and milk chocolate at $4 for 24 minis.  Stop by the Fair Trade table in Montgomery, or see Lynne Brown at Stony Point.

Looking for a way to plug into the Santa Rosa community? Support Angels’ Attic and volunteer during store hours. Please contact Tamara at 284-8659 and learn how you can be a part of this special ministry.

Share a meal and conversation with our overnight guests at the Nomadic Shelter, Friday, October 20, 6pm, Fellowship Hall. Contact the church office for details.

Come and learn how you can plug into one of the newest groups at FUMC, the iCare committee. Meetings take place on the first Monday of the month, 1:30pm, Susanna Wesley House.  We reach out to those in our community who need phone calls, meals, or simply a visit.
