Here at the First United Methodist Church of Santa Rosa we strive to teach children about God’s great love in an environment rich with friendship, fun, and caring. Through bible stories, music, crafts, games and activities our children discover the building blocks of respect, compassion, kindness, forgiveness, and faith.
In our weekly Sunday School classes, children are lovingly encouraged to explore and grow in their faith. Knowing that they are a child of God and are inherently of sacred worth is the key to our teaching philosophy. Each week, we discover relevant and exciting ways that children can live out their faith in today’s world.
Each Sunday morning we offer:
• Nursery Care for infants & toddlers during worship services (ages 0-3.)
• Full Sunday School programs for children & youth (ages 3-14.)
Montgomery Campus: Sunday School: Begins 9:30am at 1551 Montgomery Dr.
Stony Point Campus: Sunday School: Begins 10:45am at 2150 Giffen Ave.
In addition to our Sunday morning programs, we also have many activities for children & families throughout the year. These include: seasonal children’s performances, community service projects, an annual Easter Egg Hunt, our Halloween Fall Festival extravaganza, Christmas & Advent activities, and more!
Each summer we hold our Vacation Bible School where approximately 100 children converge on our Stony Point campus for a week of fun, crafts, games, and learning about God’s love. The week of June 23-27, 2014 we had fun, planted seeds to change the world and most importantly, grew in faith through the “Jungle Safari” VBS program.
Come and join us! Help us reach up to God, and reach out to others with a positive message of hope, love and caring. Everyone is warmly welcomed!
