Angels’ Attic, a boutique-style thrift shop, is an outreach of the First United Methodist Church of Santa Rosa.
Located at 411 E Street ( directions ),
The shop is open Monday - Friday, 10:00 am –4 pm and Saturday from noon - 4pm.
During Santa Rosa's Wednesday Night Market (mid May through mid August) the shop is open until 7:30pm.
Founded in August of 2004, Angels’ Attic has a two-fold mission:
- To provide high quality products at reasonable prices, and
- To donate our proceeds to the local community via local non-profit groups who provide services for multiple segments of Sonoma County.
Angels' Attic is on eBay! We place some of our more valuable items on eBay so we can take advantage of the broader exposure to potential purchasers. See us at http://myworld.ebay.com/fumcangelsattic/
Since its inception, Angels’ Attic has given over $123,600 (through 2015) to community outreach.
In 2016, we donated to the following:
COTS (Committee on the Shelterless)
Interfaith Shelter Network
Life Works of Sonoma County
The Ceres Project
Sonoma County Vet Connect
Y.W.C.A. Women’s Emergency Shelter
Boys & Girls Club of Greater Santa Rosa
All proceeds are given back to the community. No proceeds are retained by the church nor are any utilized in the church budget.
How is this possible?
Angels’ Attic is entirely volunteer-staffed!
Volunteers hold the key to our success. Whether sorting through donations, pricing merchandise, assisting customers, running the cash register, or providing a listening ear to someone in need, volunteers are vital.
We need YOU!
To keep this ministry humming, we absolutely must have volunteers.
There are two shifts per weekday and one shift on Saturday. Whether you can offer only a few hours a month or want to sign up for a regular weekly shift, we welcome you to this friendly group!
If you cannot work a store shift, we have plenty of other ways you could help: be available to pick up and deliver donations, store maintenance, internet announcements, online listings of items for sale, computer assistance, small appliance or clothing repair, etc.
Donations of both merchandise or cash are gladly accepted. All merchandise must be clean, in good repair/condition, in working order and complete. (We don’t have the facilities or personnel to clean or repair items.)
While we have greatly expanded our showroom space, our workroom (where receivables go and where sorting and pricing are done) is very limited. If you have only a few bags or boxes of items to donate (i.e. 3-4), you may drop them off anytime during regular store hours, Monday through Friday only.
However, if you have a large quantity to donate or have furniture pieces to donate, please call or email the store manager so that we can make arrangements to accommodate your gifts. In the case of furniture, either large individual items or multiple items, we need to come by to see the items to determine if we have sufficient space available either in the store or in storage. Then arrangements can be made to pick up the items or have them delivered.
